Yamaha Celebrates the Exceptional Work of Piano Teachers in Australia

Last week in Melbourne, the music community gathered to honour the 10 recipients of the 2024 Yamaha Piano Teacher Award: Breakout, to celebrate these teachers who demonstrate a strong commitment and passion for music education.

DM7 Firmware V1.54 and related Editor Released

Product Safety Recall - PA-10 AC Adapter

The AC Adaptor (230v 35w 18.5v 0.65A) supplied with the following Yamaha professional audio mixers: MG10, MG10X, MG10XU, MG10XUF, or MG12XUK, can develop a crack which can expose the live electrical contacts inside. There is a risk of electric shock, serious injury or death if internal electrical contacts are exposed. Consumers should stop using the adaptor immediately and disconnect the plug from the power outlet and the audio mixer. New Immersive Expressions - Composing Unique Classical Music with AFC

Since 2017, Yamaha has been collaborating with the Rochester Institute of Technology to explore the new possibilities in musical expression offered by its Active Field Control (AFC) immersive audio system. As part of the research, composer SiHyun Uhm was invited to create a new classical work which intertwined sound space and music.

Small Is Beautiful - Yamaha DM7-EX Tours Clubs With Twenty One Pilots

In May 2024, global superstars Twenty One Pilots played five secret club dates in Berlin, London, Mexico City, New York and their hometown of Columbus, Ohio, in anticipation of their upcoming album release and worldwide arena tour. Sound engineers Cliff Skinner and Kenny Sellars were faced with the challenge of how to shrink the band’s arena-sized audio system into small clubs without compromising audio quality. The answer was built around Yamaha’s DM7-EX digital mixing console.
