Yamaha to provide rehearsal space for emerging artists at BIGSOUND 2019
Every big name musician had to start somewhere and for so many artists in Australia the springboard that they hit before their career skyrockets is a showcase at BIGSOUND. The festival continues to cement its place on Australia's cultural calendar as the place where tomorrow's stars are uncovered, and the shape of future business is forged. BIGSOUND Festival runs four nights across Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, showcasing the next big thing to fans, industry, and international tastemakers alike.
During BIGSOUND rehearsal spaces are at a premium in Brisbane (let alone the Valley), so much so that a lot acts head to their showcase without a final rehearsal. This year however, in a bid to ease the congestion - Yamaha are providing a fully stocked space for free for all BIGSOUND artists.
The Yamaha Rehearsal Room features a fully spec’d Yamaha PA and is decked out with backline and gear from Yamaha and affiliated brands such as Yamaha drums, synths & keys, Vox guitar amps, Line 6 effects, Ampeg bass amps, EarthQuaker Devices pedals, Paiste cymbals, & Vater drum sticks. This project aligns directly with Yamaha's global goal to empower musicians at all stages of their musical journey to make an impact through their creative expression.
Yamaha is also giving any artist that visits the Rehearsal Space the opportunity to go in to the running to win a Yamaha THR 100 HD Head & THR C212 Cab valued at $1799.
