Nominations for the 2024 Piano Breakout Award are now closed

Do you know a piano teacher that’s doing amazing things in the community? It could be their quality of commitment to their students or their initiative in creating music making opportunities in the community! Each year, Yamaha celebrates 10 inspirational piano teachers for their transformative impact on students and communities. Ten successful piano teachers will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Yamaha Headquarters in Melbourne to participate in two days of unique, professional development with industry leading professionals in July 2024.

About This Award

WHO IS IT FOR?

Each year, Yamaha reach out to the community to find Piano Teachers who strive to advance their own professional development for the benefit of their students. Teachers who are committed and passionate about the value music education has and the impact it can have in students’ lives.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A piano teacher must be nominated for the award to accept. The nomination can be from themselves or any other Australian resident. Once a teacher is nominated, they will be sent an email encouraging them to apply. They will need to fill out 4 basic questions, addressing the selection criteria. Nominations for the award close 29 February 2024 and winners announced 1 April 2024.
