Highlights from the Melbourne Junior Original Concert!

The comprehensive and detailed curriculum of Yamaha Music Education provides students with all the necessary tools and motivation to create their own compositions.

The Junior Original Concert (JOC) is a unique event run by Yamaha which gives the opportunity for students in Intermediate and Advanced Courses to perform their compositions to an appreciative audience.

Each year over 40 000 Yamaha students participate in Junior Original Concerts across the globe. Yamaha is thrilled to offer the same opportunity to eligible students here in Australia!

JOC is a little different for Sydney and Melbourne this year as Yamaha hosted concerts live online via Zoom. The feedback from families has highlighted how worthwhile it is to share and connect during these challenging times!

David Lee with two sons in our Yamaha Music Education classes said, “It was great having it live, as it could still give some of the "nerves" and allow the students to overcome them and have such a sense of pride at the accomplishment. Thank you for organising a memorable end to the week!”
