Yamaha is pleased to announce the release of the new HS-I models
June 1st, Shizuoka, Japan- Yamaha is pleased to announce the release of the new HS-I models of powered speakers which add mounting points to the popular HS Series, making them compatible with a wider range of monitoring, sound reinforcement and installation environments.
Featuring three models - HS5I, HS7I and HS8I, with all available in black or white finish - the mounting points allow HS speakers to be used or a much broader range of studio monitoring and installation applications outside of the recording realm. With three optional bracket types available - wall, ceiling, and baton - installation in studios or commercial environments with dimensions or surfaces that might otherwise present a challenge is simplified greatly.
HS enclosures are constructed from a dense, resilient MDF with a dampened acoustic response and an ideal port that design reduces audible noise by up to 6dB. Proprietary Yamaha transducers deliver a smooth response over a wide bandwidth; highly efficient 1" dome tweeters considerably extend the usable frequency range and the ultra-responsive woofers utilise large, high quality magnets to deliver well-defined low frequencies at any output level, with exceptionally low distortion. The amplifier features a bi-amp design with separate, dedicated units for both the woofer and tweeter.
HS Series full-range models include two response controls with detailed settings that allow them to adapt to the surface acoustics of rooms of varying shape and size; ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM, as well as XLR and TRS phone jack inputs to accommodate a wide range of balanced and unbalanced sources such as mixers, keyboards and audio interfaces.
