Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, AVENTAGE Series V encapsulates the pinnacle in home entertainment technology, performance and construction. Regarded as the leading brand of AV Receivers in the Australian market, this legacy of distinction is honoured by a suite of improvements over last year’s models culminating in

unprecedented sophistication and ease-of-use.

Series V is introduced with the launch of 3 new models – the RX-A740, RX-A840 and RX-A1040. Built-in Wi-Fi features on all 3 Receivers in addition to an Ethernet connection. Integrated wireless capabilities unlock a world of entertainment possibilities including app control via Yamaha’s free AV Controller for iOS and Android devices, access to Pandora® and Spotify Connect® music streaming services, Internet radio and high-resolution audio streaming including 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC or WAV and 96 kHz Apple Lossless. Alternatively, the Wireless Direct feature creates a ‘hotspot’ for direct connection between the Receiver and wireless devices, facilitating features such as AirPlay in the absence of a home Wi-Fi network.

Included with each Receiver, the YBA-11 Bluetooth adaptor enhances seamless operation with wireless audio streaming from a variety of Bluetooth-enabled devices including phones, tablets and laptops.

Adopting the latest version of HDMI, a wide range of new video formats is supported including 4K Ultra HD 50 Hz/60 Hz and RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4 video for a more vibrant and lifelike picture. Exquisite video performance is matched only by the audio capabilities of each Receiver – 192 kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown DACs for all channels on the RX-A740 and RX-A840, while the RX-A1040 is equipped with an ESS SABRE DAC for professional-quality digital audio. MHL support is also featured on each model for playback of Full HD audio/video from compatible devices.

Adding multi-room versatility, the RX-A740 features the ability to have independent audio sources in 2 areas of the home. Further, the Zone 2 audio feature is controlled intuitively from a smartphone or tablet using the AV Controller app. Taking configuration flexibility a step further, the RX-A840 distributes the same video and 2 channel audio to a second area of the home using HDMI Zone B. HDMI Zone 2, available on the RX-A1040, offers extensive entertainment options with the potential of having 2 HDMI sources in different areas of the home.
