Rec'n'Share

YDS-152 and YDS-122 can be connected to the free Rec’n’Share app for smart devices from Yamaha, making it possible to play along with audio data stored on the device and capture the performance as a sound recording or movie that can be shared online. Rec’n’Share includes a function that can change the playback tempo of the original music, an AB repeat function that repeats playback of a specified A-B section, a function that can analyze and add an appropriate click track to the original music, and other features that make practice more productive and enjoyable.

The main differences are the number of voices and the USB TO HOST terminal. The YDS-122 offers 87 voices, including additional non-saxophone instrument sounds. The USB TO HOST terminal has also been updated from micro-USB Type-B to USB Type-C.

Wipe the bell and keys with a dry, soft cloth.

To clean the mouthpiece, remove it from the instrument and use a cleaning swab to remove moisture and dirt. The dedicated mouthpiece can be washed with water.

Moisture left inside the neck may cause the instrument to malfunction. Remove any moisture with a thin cotton swab or similar item.

Do not insert cotton swabs or other objects into the tube inside the instrument. After playing, leave the instrument in a well-ventilated place for a while to allow the tube inside the body to dry.
