Biography

Ben Harrison is a Melbourne based multi instrumentalist, who specializes in the trumpet. Since the age of 8, Ben has been performing publicly through his high school education (The Conservatorium high school and VCASS) and through various outside projects including Judy Bailey's Jazz Connection youth big band. Ben completed in Bachelor of Music at VCA, specializing in improvisation and went on to do his honors at Monash University.

Ben believes in being flexible as a musician. He has worked hard at many musical styles, and has recorded on projects spanning multiple genres including contemporary chamber music, free improvisation, commercial work, modern and older styles of jazz, bluegrass and many more. These diverse influences have lead to Ben working with heavy weights such as Julia Stone, Dave Douglas, John Forman, Kate Cebreno, Lucky Oceans and many more.
