Paiste

Yamaha Music Australia distributes Paiste products through a network of Authorised Paiste dealers and is pleased to offer the following warranty against defects. This warranty applies to products purchased from Yamaha Authorised Paiste dealers throughout Australia. Yamaha suggests that you read the warranty terms and conditions thoroughly, and invite you to contact your Authorised Paiste dealer if you have any questions.

What is covered?

This warranty covers all defects in materials or workmanship for the duration of the product warranty and is in addition to the protection conferred by law.

If after inspection the instrument does not show indications of abuse or neglect and the defect is a result of a manufacturing or material discrepancy, we will replace the instrument.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is only available for products and equipment distributed in Australia by Yamaha Music Australia and purchased through a Yamaha Authorised dealer.

What is not covered?

- Paiste cymbals purchased in Australia from non-authorised Paiste dealers.

- Paiste cymbals purchased or imported from overseas.

- Any products on which the serial number has been altered, defaced, modified or removed.

- Evidence of alteration, erasing or forgery of proof of purchase documents will void this warranty.

- Damage or loss to the product during shipment (all claims relating to freight/shipment damage should be presented to the carrier)

- Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse or operation. Examples of damage or misuse includes but is not limited to the following:

. Cracks on the Edge: Cracks caused by obvious overplaying and/or improper sticks selection.

. Bell Hole: The centre hole is distorted, (key-hole effect), or has spider cracks, which indicates the sleeve on the stand is worn or not used. If the cymbal is overplayed the bell hole can become distorted as well.

. Bell Dents: This is caused by overplaying and/or improper sticks selection.

. Bell Breaks: This is usually caused by mounting the cymbal too tightly, thereby restricting the movement of the cymbal and causing unnecessary pressure on the bell.

. Circular Cuts on Hi-Hat: Area around centre hole (Hi-Hat Top/Bottom) is cut in a circular pattern around this mounting point. A cymbal’s warranty is voided if it has evidence of metal to metal contact.

. Pieces missing / Mechanical Alterations: Continuing to play the cymbal after it cracks, and causing large portions to break off, preventing the cause of the crack from being determined.

. Oxidation: Using abrasive cymbal cleaners or applying improper cleaning procedures can cause the cymbal’s protective coating to be removed. Oxidation on a cymbal is the first indicator that the coating has been removed; therefore, the warranty replacement will not be granted

. Repair or attempted repair to cracks

Yamaha reserves the right to charge you for labour and ancillary cost associated with rectification work, if the fault is not as a result of a manufacturing defect. You will be notified if your product is found to be ineligible for warranty repair.
