  1. ELIGIBILITY. The “60th Anniversary Giveaway” competition is open to residents of Australia aged 13 or older at the time of entry. Entrants under 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian, and the parent/guardian agrees to these Terms.
  2. Yamaha Music Australia and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) are ineligible to enter and win. By participating in this competition, entrants agree to these Official Rules as stated herein.
  3. COMPETITION PERIOD. The competition will be held over a three-month period from August 1st, 2026, at 10:00 am AEST and ends on October 31st, 2026, at 11:59 pm AEST.
  4. ENTRY. Entry is eligible to customers who purchase any Yamaha guitar within the promotional period and register their entry within the promotional period. During the competition period, entrants are required to complete the sign-up form on au.yamaha.com, including answering the two accompanying questions and agree to the terms and conditions. Entries must be received by Yamaha Music Australia no later than October 31st, 2026, at 11:59 pm AEST. Incomplete, indecipherable or late entries will be deemed invalid. A limit of one entry per eligible purchase, unless otherwise stated.
  5. QUESTIONS. To enter, applicants must submit an answer to two (2) questions.
    1. In what year did Yamaha start producing electric guitars?
    2. In 25 words or less, tell us what Yamaha Guitars mean to you.
  6. ODDS. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The odds of winning will depend upon the quality of the submitted answers as determined by the judging panel.
  7. JUDGING CRITERIA. Entries will be judged by a panel of three judges. The entry deemed to best represent the entrant’s connection with Yamaha Guitars will be chosen as the winner.
  8. DISQUALIFICATION. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:
    1. Submits an entry that is not original
    2. Tampers with the entry process
    3. Engages in misleading, fraudulent or unlawful conduct

    The Promoter is not responsible for:
    1. Damaged or misdirected entries
    2. Technical failures, including website or network issues
    3. Any error in the administration of the competition
  9. SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. There will be only one winner selected in this period. The winner will be chosen at 2:00pm AEST Wednesday 18th November 2026. The winner will be notified by email and their name posted on au.yamaha.com by 5pm the following day. If the prize is unclaimed by 4:00pm AEDT December 1st, 2026, the prize will be re-drawn at this time and the new winner notified by email and posted on au.yamaha.com by 5pm the following day.
  10. PRIVACY AND USE OF ENTRIES. Winners agree to allow Yamaha Music Australia to use the Winner’s name, submission answer and image (whether in print publication, online, or other means of communication), without compensation, to notify the public of their winnings, and for promotional and marketing purposes. By entering, entrants consent to the collection and use of personal information for the purposes of administering the competition and contact. All personal details of the entrants will be held by the Promoter in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement. The Promoter will handle personal data in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
  11. PRIZES AND VALUE. There is only one prize of a Yamaha RSP20B 60th Anniversary Revstar Professional. There is only one winner, and no runners-up or subsequent prizes.
  12. LIABILITY. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury which is suffered or sustained because of taking or using the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or other applicable law.
  13. ACCEPTANCE. Submission of entry in the competition deems acceptance of the Terms. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence regarding winners will be entered into.
  14. GOVERNING LAW. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria Australia, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
  15. VARIATION AND CANCELLATION. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the competition if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, and amend these Terms at any time, subject to regulatory approval where required.
