Terms & Conditions for the Yamaha Piano Care Program

The following are the Terms and Conditions for the Yamaha Piano Care Program (hereinafter: the "Program") and the accompanying tunings and services (hereinafter: the "Benefits").

Participation in this Program is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

General:

  • This Program is valid for all new Yamaha acoustic pianos purchased through the Yamaha Music Australia Authorised Piano Dealer Network.
  • All new Yamaha upright pianos and ‘G’ series grand pianos come with one complimentary tuning benefit under the program. 'C' series grand pianos (C1X, C2X, C3X, C5X, C6X, C7X), and handcrafted pianos (S3X, S4X, S6X, S7X, CF4, CF6, CFX) will receive a number of benefits as determined by the table below.
  • The Yamaha Music Australia Authorised Piano Dealers must register the customer for the Program in the Yamaha Partner Community within 30 days of purchasing an eligible instrument.
  • Benefits must be undertaken by a Yamaha Authorised Service Agent.

  • All benefits must be verified by the Yamaha Authorised Service agent before the work is carried out. The customer should supply the agent with the correct Last Name and Serial Number in order to authorise the benefit.
  • Benefits cannot be exchanged for cash or any other services, and does not cover the cost of any pre-delivery work that is carried out by the Yamaha Authorised Piano Dealer Network.
  • This Program covers the benefit’s labour costs only on new Yamaha Acoustic Pianos, with the number of benefits covered dependant on the model purchased.
  • The benefit does not cover travel time, parts, general servicing and maintenance of the piano, including parts required due to general wear and tear of the instrument, or other expenses, excepting warranty.
  • All warranty issues must be reported to Yamaha Music Australia with all work authorised in writing before taking place.
  • Benefits used after the expiration date noted within our Consumer Community will not be honoured.
  • This Program is not open to customers purchasing second-hand pianos that were not originally registered for the Yamaha Piano Care program when first purchased.
  • Benefits are transferrable to a new owner if the piano is sold during the period covered by the Yamaha Piano Care program, but cannot be exchanged for cash or other services.
  • Yamaha Music Australia reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Piano Care program at any time.

For Yamaha Authorised Service Agents (Technicians):

  • Benefits are valued at $205 including G.S.T for a standard tuning and $385 including G.S.T for a 3 year service, payable only to the Yamaha Authorised Service Agent who undertakes the benefit. The invoice must be sent with the customer’s name, piano serial number and date the work was conducted clearly legible. If the Tuner is not register for G.S.T. within Australia Yamaha Music Australia will only pay the pre-G.S.T. amount for the benefit. This amount is for labour costs of tuning only and does not cover travel time, parts or other expenses.
  • All benefits must be verified by the Yamaha Authorised Service Agent before the work is carried out. Benefits used after the expiration date noted within our Consumer Community will not be honoured. Benefit verification for technicians is available here.
  • The benefit amount payable to the Yamaha Authorised Service Agent is inclusive of GST.
  • All warranty issues must be reported to Yamaha Music Australia with all work authorised in writing before taking place.
  • The invoice must be sent to the Yamaha Music Australia offices at P.O. Box 268 South Melbourne VIC 3205.
  • All invoices must be sent to Yamaha Music Australia strictly within 14 days.
