Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers. Starting with the CS10, then the SK20 in high school, and then the introduction of the DX7, to SY, EOS, MOTIF, MONTAGE, and CP, Yamaha Synthesizers have always been at the side of my music production scenes. The new sounds they present are a driving force in creating new music. I look forward to further developments and discoveries.

Congratulations on your 50th birthday. My eldest son was the SY1, the analog brother, and my deep connection goes back to the FM family, starting with the second son's DX7. I have a renewed respect and gratitude for its history as more than just a tool, but as an instrument that has always given birth to new ideas... but the Stradivarius is still active at nearly 350 years old. 50 is still too young, so its true value is yet to be seen.

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths! 30 years ago, the first synth I got was EOS B900. Since then, I've always had a variety of Yamaha Synths on hand, and they are my indispensable "partners" that I can rely on at any time! I look forward to continuing to play and create many more pieces with Yamaha Synths in the future.

From the red YC20 I played at the age of 15, to the "Warm & Fat sound" of the CS80 that I was fascinated by with UK, TOTO, and Vangelis. The sound of the DX7 that rewrote the history of electric pianos. The CP80 played on the PC2002M. Then the MOTIF, MONTAGE, and CP88. I think it's wonderful and amazing that they all have a consistent presence as instruments, and that they are the sounds of the era. Congratulations on your 50th anniversary!

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha synthesizers! My relationship with Yamaha digital synthesizers, which began with the DX7, has now spanned over 40 years. I am full of gratitude for the musical career I've had on stage, in recordings, and of course, with all the amazing Synths I've been involved in developing. I look forward to the future bringing about Synths that can play music that AI cannot create!

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers! I started out with the Yamaha Grand Piano, but now Synthesizers have become my work companions. I'm still learning about the fun, depth of sound creation, and history, but I feel like Synthesizers are always in the middle of all the fun, talking about analog synths with my seniors, and sharing my favorite synth sounds with fellow musicians. Yamaha Synths will continue to evolve, and it's exciting to imagine what the future holds! I hope I'll still be playing Synths when I'm a grandmother!

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers. 50 years ago, I was 23 years old and started working with Synthesizers at Mr. Tomita's studio. Later, in 1977, when I visited the Power Station in New York for Akiko Yano's recording, I saw the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind at the cinema, and the SY-1 appeared, and that's how I first learned about Yamaha Synthesizers. After that, I produced an album using the CS series with a sequencer, and I've been using the DX, SY, MOTIF, and MONTAGE series ever since. I would like to express my sincere respect and gratitude to the tireless efforts of Yamaha's technology developers.

Congratulations on your 50th anniversary. I've been using Yamaha Synths ever since I bought my first MOTIF with the money I earned from a part-time job that I had saved up all my money for. The MONTAGE M that I currently use is indispensable not only for live performances, but also when recording with the ESP function. I hope that you will continue to development! I'll do my best so that we can celebrate your 100th anniversary again!

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers. I've been using them ever since I started playing in a band with three Synthesizers, the first CS15 I got, a YC10 that was lying around in the light music club room in high school, and an SS30 I borrowed from someone. I'll continue to use them in the future! I wish them continued success.

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of its release! The first Synth I bought and the most recent one I bought were both Yamaha, and I've been using them for so many years. Every time a new keyboard is released, my wish "I wish I could do this" comes true, and I can only say that it's amazing. There's always a Yamaha Synth by my side wherever I work, and I'll always love them!

My first encounter with the Yamaha Synthesizer was with a CS5 that my father had bought at my parents' house. I remember having fun making the sounds of a steam locomotive. I've had a long relationship with the Yamaha since then, and have used a variety of models, it makes me feel nostalgic when I think back on it. I hope it will continue to develop for 100, even 200 years!

I have spent my musical life with Yamaha, which is full of charm, such as its elegant, brilliant, and varied sound range, its wide range of expression, and its UI that is close to the player. I believe that Yamaha Synths will continue to share the joy of music with many people and continue to build up an even longer history. Congratulations on your 50th anniversary!

My first encounter with a Yamaha Synth was with the CS10 in 1977, so to be exact, it's been 47 years since then. They have always been a great inspiration for my music, and I am very grateful for the deep involvement and support I have received from Yamaha Synths since then. Of course, I will continue to be active in the music industry for the rest of my life (haha), so I will continue to walk this path with Yamaha Synths in the future!

Keiji Matsumoto

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the Yamaha Synth. I started taking electone classes. I learned about analog Synth sound creation through the monthly Electone magazine feature on Synth sound creation, and although I never touched the actual instrument, I let my imagination run wild. I remember that DX7 was released the following year. I think it was Yamaha that was able to turn FM synthesis into a true musical instrument. That spirit can still be felt in today's instruments. Please continue to make instruments that excite performers.

Kento Ogiya

Congratulations on your 50th anniversary! Synths have become commonplace and can now be used to create any sound from a PC, but this journey would not have been possible without the path that Yamaha has paved. You're the same age as me! I look forward to seeing you continue to inspire the world with big dreams and imagination!

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths! The studio I went to as an amateur always had a CP80 and a DX7 installed, and I would practice with my newly purchased SY55 next to them. I've continued to use Yamaha Synths, and they're still indispensable to me even now that music is my job. I'll continue to accompany the history of Yamaha Synths, which is the same age as me.

KO-ICHIRO

  • KO-ICHIRO

I discovered the joy of creating sounds with the CS15, and the DX7 taught me the beginning of the perfect form of a musical instrument, with its ability to instantly call up and control a wide variety of sounds. When performing or producing, he is always accompanied by his classic instruments from the past. Even though we have both grown up in the same era, their evolution has always been faster than ours! Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths!

Kosuke Kuwabara

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths. Starting with DX7 that was in my parents' house when I was a child, I have used Yamaha synths for over 30 years, including the MO8, CP50, CP4, MX, YC, and MONTAGE. The CP4 in particular is a beloved and reliable instrument, and I love how it feels to play. I hope that Yamaha will continue to develop in the future.

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths! I was fascinated by the SY99 when I was a student, and after its release I bought the P90 and MOTIF ES, and have been using them ever since. Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers. It's been 45 years since I made my debut, so I've been using Yamaha Synthesizers for the same period of time. From the first shock I felt with the groundbreaking 8-voice polyphony CS80, to DX7, a digital Synthesizer with FM Synthesis, for which I was also involved in creating the default sounds, to the current MONTAGE, my musical life will continue to be determined by Yamaha Synthesizers.

Nao Nishimura

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the Yamaha Synth! The position of Synths in music 50 years ago in the 1970s is completely different from the position of Synths in music now in 2024. Yamaha synthesizers are always striving for beautiful sound. They have become an indispensable sound in my playing. It's a sound that will always support the Japanese music scene for the next 10, 20 years and beyond.

nishi-ken

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the SY1 in 1974. I learned that the GX1, released in 1975, was created with the theme of "living sound," and expressed the flow of human birth, prosperity, and death in sound. I believe that Yamaha's high awareness of sound has been passed down through the generations, and that the sounds they create have moved people's hearts and created the past 50 years of history. I hope that you will continue to create wonderful sound with the great will of Yamaha.

NOBU-K

I remember that when I started a band in the 80s, I got invitations from all kinds of bands just because I had a DX7 (haha). When I think back to those days, the current MONTAGE seems like a dream Synth. I look forward to the continued development of Yamaha Synths!

Noriyuki Makihara

I got a Yamaha DX7 in exchange for passing my high school entrance exam. Everything started with this Synthesizer. The first song I made with this Synthesizer was played on Ryuichi Sakamoto's radio show, and that's how I got to where I am today. Yamaha has continued to inspire me ever since. Please continue to be our inspiration. Congratulations on your 50th anniversary.

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers! I've been exposed to Yamaha Pianos in my piano lessons since I was a child, and when I think of keyboards, I have a strong image of Yamaha. I currently perform live using my CP88 (previously CP1) and MODX+. Many of my songs have a wide range of colors, so I'm really helped every day by the synths that offer so many different sounds and expressions!

About 40 years ago, when I was still an elementary school student, I had the opportunity to observe the studio work of such distinguished artists as CASIOPEA, Inoue Akira, Sakamoto Ryuichi, and TM NETWORK, thanks to the kind arrangements of Yamaha Shibuya store manager Keiichi Tada, and Yamaha R&D Tokyo's Tanaka Shigenori and Domen Tomohiko. After school, I would quickly head to Dogenzaka and repeatedly see professionals facing music from a corner of the studio. It was truly a dream come true for a musical boy. It was also Inoue Akira's influence that led me to go to Toho Gakuen after high school. Later, I was fortunate enough to perform with those senior artists. Of course, Yamaha was also supporting that stage. My musical career would not have been possible without Yamaha. I would like to express my gratitude and offer my heartfelt congratulations on the 50th anniversary.

Congratulations on your 50th anniversary. Although my first Synthesizer was made by another manufacturer almost 40 years ago, since the debut of TM NETWORK, I have literally developed the expansion and subtlety of my music together with Yamaha. Look forward to the next 50 years!

A Synthesizer could produce such clear sounds! This was my honest impression of surprise when the first Yamaha DX7 was released. With the birth of the DX7, the expressive power of Synthesizers has evolved greatly. I have been using Yamaha Synthesizers for many years for live performances and recordings, mainly the TX816, S90ES DX plug-ins, MONTAGE, and DX-type FM sounds that followed. Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synthesizers. And I pray for their continued development and evolution in the future!

Yoshitaka Mikuni

  • Yoshitaka Mikuni

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the release of Yamaha Synths. The first Yamaha Synth I bought was the CS01, which can also be used as a shoulder bag, and I've been using Yamaha Synths ever since the DX7. I often work with rock bands that have a slightly questionable 60s-70s sound, and Yamaha Synths are great at editing the sounds from that era, which I'm always grateful for. Right now I mainly use the MOTIF XF7 (white), but I also use the YC61 and CK61. I think new Synths will continue to be released in the future, and I'm always looking forward to them.

Yudai Ohi

  • Yudai Ohi

Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Synths. I bought my first Yamaha Synth, MODX7 on the day it was released six years ago, and it opened my eyes to the joy of creating sounds and taught me a lot. I currently use the CP88 and YC73 as stage pianos, and they are very easy to use. I look forward to seeing more keyboards released that can be used by a wide range of people, from professionals to students!
