Saturday Afternoon: The Open Workshop

The event commenced with a stellar performance of Movements 1, 4, and 5 from Ketting's Little Suite for Three Trumpets and Trio Lyrical by Stokes, showcasing the trio's musical brilliance and synergy. An open workshop where each artist presented a specialty topic, captivating an audience of 40 attendees.

• David Elton shared insights on Effective Practice and Growth Mindset, inspiring attendees to approach learning with discipline and positivity.

The workshop concluded with a panel discussion of each of the artists elaborating on their career path and how they got there, and a Q&A, with many insightful questions from the audience.

On Sunday, 28 trumpet players, teachers, and students had the rare opportunity to engage in 30-minute individual sessions with the artists. These personalized consultations provided tailored advice, helping attendees refine their skills and deepen their understanding of the instrument.
