MusicCast’s Google Assistant 'Ask MusicCast' conversational voice control support to end June 2023

From June 13th, 2023, Google will no longer be supporting their ‘Conversational Action’ custom skills for Google Assistant and have decided to sunset this feature.

As a result, MusicCast products compatible with the ‘Ask MusicCast’ function for voice control via Google assistant enabled devices will no longer work for this function. The standard array of Google Assistant commands that are not based on the ‘Conversational Action’ skill will still function as per normal. These cover all the basic functionality you will need, such as: Hey Google, Turn on the bedroom…

Affected models include all MusicCast models released from 2015 until present day.
