Arius has a revamped sample voice of Yamaha’s acclaimed CFX Concert Grand Piano equipped with Virtual Resonance Modelling Lite (VRM Lite) to give you an even more authentic digital piano experience. This technology really dials the authenticity and expressiveness of the new YDP Digital Pianos up a notch, by modelling the harmonic resonance of the strings on a piano, based on exactly which notes are being played and whether the sustain pedal is activated.
Greater Listening Comfort When Using Headphones
Enjoy playing with rich, realistic sound - even through headphones. The YDP-165 and YDP-145 now include several features that make the sound easier on the ears. The Arius Digital Pianos employ new technology that optimally corrects the sound balance according to the volume you set - giving you an exceptionally natural sound that’s easy to listen to and is gentle on the ears, even when playing for a long time. They also have a Stereophonic Optimizer effect that lets you enjoy the natural, spacious sound through your headphones that you would experience sitting in front of an acoustic grand piano.

The new Arius YDP Digital Pianos now come with a library of 353 songs, including 50 famous classical songs and 303 practice exercises from famous methods, such as Czerny and Hanon.
Tone Escapement Construction (Standard Series only)
The newly developed tone escapement construction on the back of the cabinet emanates sound from inside the piano, allowing you to experience the natural sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance like that of an acoustic piano.
Two Styles: Standard or Slim
The Standard Series gives you the advantage of the tone escapement construction in the bigger cabinet, whereas the Slim Series provides you with an instrument that can be placed conveniently where space is at a premium.
