Since competing a bachelor in Music at UNSW and an Advanced Diploma in Sound Production at JMC academy 15 years ago, Astrid has been heavily involved in the Australian Music scene. While she has been fortunate to carry out sound engineering duties at some of Australia’s premier live music venues and festivals, Astrid’s favourite place is behind the drum kit. She has drummed for numerous Aussie artists including Bonney Read, RACKETT, Charlie Gradon and Le Pie, and currently plays for The Jezabels’ Hayley Mary as she embarks on her solo career.

Astrid also runs a recording studio located in Marrickville with her partner Kat Ayala. Under the name Forces & Fury, they produce music with singer/songwriters, create their own music, and also create music videos and other audio or visual assets for musicians.
