The age of 3 is the ideal age for children to start learning the essential skills to develop into confident and skilled musicians. In Yamaha's New Primary Course, they learn a wide variety of skills through classical music and other music genres and experience over 140 pieces of music during the three-year course.

Children have fun exploring and playing on the keyboard and, in the first year, learn how to play and identify individual notes and even play a complete repertoire piece. In the second and third years of the course, students further develop their piano and keyboard skills to play pieces with both hands in a variety of different keys, music genres and styles, including classical music.
