Junior Ensemble Course
Continuation from Junior Extension/Step
ADVANCED CONTINUATION FROM JUNIOR EXTENSION / JUNIOR STEP
Our Yamaha Advanced Courses produce extremely accomplished pianists, composers, arrangers, and performers who have a deep passion for, and understanding of, a wide variety of music and musical styles. The children in this class can apply their unique skills they have learnt throughout their Yamaha musical journey to any musical related occupation they may work towards in the future.
Yamaha Advanced course students sit for high-level student exams in the Yamaha Grade Examination System, with some students also being able to complete teacher level exams. They can compose longer and more complex compositions, as well as perform in class and city Junior Original Concerts. Some children are also invited to perform their compositions in overseas concerts such as the Asia Pacific Junior Original Concert and International Junior Original Concerts held each year.
Many graduates of Yamaha Advanced Courses have gone on to develop lifelong careers in music – as performing artists (both here in Australia and overseas), composers, members of world-class orchestras and highly regarded music educators.
