End of Support: Alexa Skills and Google Actions for MusicCast Products
Update – January 2026: As announced in August 2025, support for Amazon Alexa Skills and Google Home Actions on MusicCast products is being phased out. While features could become unavailable at any time, formal discontinuation begins March 2026 and will be completed by June 2026. After this date, Alexa Skills and Google Actions will no longer function.
Since 2017, when Yamaha first began supporting these functions, increasingly stringent compliance requirements have made continued support difficult given the level of user adoption. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue support and shift resources to other areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and kindly ask for your understanding.
