Glenn Mortimer
Biography
A master drummer, Glenn has spent most of his life based in Melbourne. His name graces the covers of over 20 albums by various artist as well as his own solo drumming album and drum tutorial DVD.
Touring nationally and internationally since the age of 15 he began teaching drums at 18. A student himself of the Victorian College of the Arts as well as extensive private studies with Frank Corniola, Graham Morgan, Davis Jones and others, Glenn is passionate about music and passing his knowledge and experiences onto the next generation.
Glenn is proficient at performing all modern styles of music like rock, jazz, funk, reggae, blues, country, hip-hop, freeform improvisation, house, rap, techno, dance hall, disco, pop, rhythm and blues, swing, heavy metal, ska, punk, motown, zydeco, and all fusion's thereof. He has also studied African, Cuban, South American, Native American, Middle Eastern, Tibetan, Celtic, Japanese, Pacific Islander, and other traditional drumming.
Now living on the Gold Coast, Queensland, you can see Glenn performing nationally with “The Very Best of the Bee Gee’s” and can also be seen locally around Brisbane and the Gold Coast with various jazz ensembles as well as teaching drums at Billy Hyde, Southport.
