Biography

Glenn Sarangapany is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. With 15 years of touring and recording experience with his band Birds of Tokyo, as well conservatorium training in both jazz guitar and classical piano, Glenn’s musical pedigree brings a unique perspective to his performances and compositions. Glenn is also the founder and creative director for Sydney based music and sound production studio, Electric Sheep who have produced music for short films and documentaries as well as a number of big brand advertising campaigns.

Birds of Tokyo have enjoyed a career of playing major festivals like Splendour in The Grass and huge sporting events such as the AFL Grand Final. The live shows have been backed up with a string of radio hits such as Lanterns, Plans, Anchor and Good Lord. 2021 is shaping up to be a big year with Birds embarking on a national symphonic tour.
