Gianni Marinucci
Having had the privilege of studying and spending time with Bobby Shew, I have always been drawn to his Yamaha designed instruments due to their incredible versatility and ease of playing. From the 6310Z to the latest horns, they just keep getting better and better. They respond so easily and are very flexible in their sound palate, which as an improviser means I can play my ideas with greater ease. From small group to Big Band they make my life easier!

“The first time I heard Gianni Marinucci play, I knew we had a new gift from the jazz muse in our midst. He is tasteful, lyrical, honest, and humble in his playing. It's so nice to hear someone doing the REAL THING in spite of all of the temptations to "hot dog"! I love his playing AND his friendship!" - Bobby Shew
“Marinucci is a highly-gifted and marvellously restrained player possessing a luscious, seductive sound that’s filled with both muscular strength and emotional fragility. His melodic and improvisational approach is economical with a superb (and swinging, even at slower tempos) sense of note-placement. This is a player whose horn indeed tells tales.” - Nick Mondello ,’All About Jazz”
