VST Rack" is plugin software that allows to you to use VST plugins to create the effect racks you want with ease, offering you both freedom and flexibility in constructing a plug-in environment in either Mac or Windows. You can add VST Rack and your favorite VST plug-ins to any mixing environment to make setting quick and deliver superb sound in any situation.

Bundled with the compact RUio16-D I/O rack, VST Rack Pro comes with a wide variety of plugins, and can be used with a bypass function to minimize problems in the unlikely event of a malfunction. "VST Rack Elements" comes bundled with basic plug-ins and allows the same functions to be used, and is sure to expand the scope of your operations when used in combination with a mixing console.

You can use your favorite VST plug-ins to create an original effects rack that’s both powerful and flexible.

With this setup, engineers can integrate their preferred VST plug-ins that they’ve already purchased for live performance and studio use into the system.

VST Rack Pro comes with a comprehensive array of 33 plug-ins from Yamaha and Steinberg, while VST Rack Elements features six basic plug-ins from Steinberg. Plug-ins included with VST Rack Pro include "Buss Comp369," which has won acclaim from RIVAGE PM users, the high-quality sampling reverb "REVelation," the "SuperVision" plug-in for loudness control, and many others that can be used for a variety of applications.

There are also some sample projects provided for use with several different applications. You can put these to use as-is, or use the sample projects to save time.

The Latency Group field on the VST Rack lets you group together specified plug-ins and synchronize the latencies of the racks within each group. When using the Auto settings, the rack with the maximum latency within a group is shown; when using the Manual settings, you can input a numeric value by double-clicking.

When using the VST Rack with the RUio16-D, a bypass feature is available to minimize any trouble that may occur. This feature is used if a problem occurs on your computer, preventing any trouble that might stop the sound on the entire system. You can adjust how long it takes for this function to activate, determined by how long the system is out of operation.
