Record Store Day 2021 launches 12th June
Yamaha Music Australia is once again partnering with Record Store Day (RSD) in 2021. Similar to last year, Record Store Day will be split across multiple days with the first drop of special releases on the 12th June 2021.
“Yamaha Music’s brand promise of ‘Make Waves’ represents the transformational impact sound and music can have,” said Minako Shintake – Corporate Branding Manager at Yamaha Music Australia. “And listening to your favourite album on vinyl… well, there is nothing like it!
“Yamaha Music empowers artists’ creativity with our musical instruments. It’s highly likely much of the vinyl purchased as part of Record Store Day has been recorded or produced with Yamaha equipment so we are deeply embedded in the creative process at every level.
“Our brand is unique in that it not only helps the creative process of making music but improves music fans’ listening experiences with an enormous range of home audio products, including turntables which are built on our overall commitment to creating True Sound.
“For these reasons, Record Store Day really is the perfect partnership for our brand.”
To celebrate the launch, Record Store Day and Yamaha facilitated a conversation between Chris Gill of Northside Records, last years ambassador Ross Wilson of Mondo Rock and this years ambassador Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote.
