Melissa Perrin Scholarship

The Scholarship is awarded annually to students who have demonstrated a keen love and interest in music through their Yamaha music lessons, are able to express themselves fully in their playing as well as showing the desire and potential for their performance and creative skills to be further nurtured and developed.

The Melissa Perrin is awarded to a student in Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. The successful applicants will each receive a credit for a semester of Junior Extension Course music tuition and a $1,000 voucher for the purchase of Yamaha Music products. In addition the successful applicants will be invited to perform at the Annual School concert and presentation of the scholarship on stage.

Eligibility

The scholarship is awarded to a recent graduate of the Yamaha Junior Music Course. Current Junior Music Course level 4 and Junior Extension Course level 1 are eligible to apply.

Students must be continuing with their Yamaha Music Education to be eligible for the scholarship.

Adjudicators

There will be a panel of adjudicators who will be responsible for selecting the successful applicant. All applications will be carefully considered. Short listed applicants may be invited to attend or submit an audition. The adjudicators may decide that no applicant is of sufficient merit to be recommended for the scholarship.

All applications must be received by this date, late submissions will not be accepted for consideration.

Notifying the Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will be notified in writing in July. No correspondence will be provided to unsuccesful applicants.

Additional Information

The adjudicators' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The organiser reserves the right to change or withdraw the details of the scholarship at any stage, without notice.
