Yamaha success at Sound+Image Awards
Yamaha claimed top prize in two categories at the recent 2013 Sound+Image Awards. The awards presentation took place on Saturday 20th October, sharing the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney as its venue with the Australian Audio & AV Show.
As the first award of the evening, the PDX-11 took out honours as the Dock of the Year in the sub $200 price bracket with Simon Goldsworthy, General Manager of Yamaha’s Audio Visual Division, accepting the award.
The PDX-11 sets the benchmark for Yamaha’s new wireless version of the model, the PDX-B11, due for release in November.
In the Home Theatre category, the recently launched RX-A3020 AVENTAGE receiver claimed the prized title of AV Receiver of the Year above $2,500. The award confirms Yamaha’s long-standing hold of this prestigious award following on from the success of the RX-A3010 last year and the RX-A3000 the year before in the $2,000-$4,000 price range.
