2012 Sound+Image Awards: And the winner is...
The 2012 Sound+Image Awards took place in Melbourne for the first time in its history this year - adding to an eventful weekend in Melbourne for AV enthusiasts also attending the Australian Audio and AV Show.
Recognising excellence in the design, manufacture and installation of AV equipment, the black-tie event hosted industry players and personalities alike.
Yamaha took home a bag of awards including:
AV RECEIVER OF THE YEAR (OVER $2,500) - RX-A3010 AVENTAGE Receiver
SPEAKER DOCK OF THE YEAR (UNDER $300) - PDX-31 iPod Dock
BLU-RAY PLAYER OF THE YEAR - BD-S671 Network Blu-ray Player
DIGITAL MUSIC PLAYER OF THE YEAR - NP-S2000 Network Player
Highly commended in the 'Headphones of the Year' category, Yamaha's HPH-200 on-ear headphones narrowly missed out claiming this title.
Yamaha's success at the 2012 Sound+Image Awards surpasses its solid outing in 2011 with models in key categories (such as Best Blu-ray Player and Best iPod Dock under $300) being acknowledged for the first time.
