Yamaha debuts new headphone series, delivering Hi Fi performance in style
PRO Series
A leader in sound on the world stage, Yamaha is pleased to announce the release of its new high‐fidelity, noise-isolating PRO Series headphones.
Comprised of the PRO 300, PRO 400, and PRO 500 models, the series is designed to faithfully reproduce audio suited to a broad range of musical genres, delivering Yamaha’s renowned ‘natural sound’. “Unfortunately, most headphones today fall into one of two categories,” stated Yamaha’s Headphone Product Manager Wesley Fischer. “You have your boring headphones which are very conservative in terms of their design, or there are those tuned for specific musical tastes - such as exaggerated bass that can spoil the overall sound quality. This is where we see a market for headphones that combine progressive style with high-fidelity, natural sound.”
The PRO Series reflects the power, elegance and performance of Yamaha’s racing team with dynamic geometry, clean design lines and bold colours. The iconic Yamaha tuning fork logo is prominently displayed on each ear cup, making a strong brand and fashion statement. Key to the high-end performance of the PRO Series headphones is a proprietary driver design which incorporates neodymium magnets to deliver maximum efficiency when used with mobile devices including as phones and tablets.
“The PRO Series headphones provide the ultimate listening experience no matter what genre of music you listen to,” said Fischer. “The Yamaha brand is synonymous with quality, and this is why Yamaha is the preferred choice of musicians, sound engineers and audio enthusiasts alike. Now you have the opportunity to take that experience with you with the new PRO Series headphones.”
The PRO 300 utilises an on-ear design and is the lightest, most compact model in the range. Available in high-gloss Black, racing Blue and ivory White. The PRO 400 employs an over-ear design which delivers added noise isolation and powerful sound produced by its larger drivers. Available in high‐gloss Black and ivory White. The PRO 500, the flagship model of the series, also features an over-ear design and features premium drivers with aluminium‐alloy ear cups to deliver exceptional sound detail and an expansive soundstage. Available in racing Blue and high-gloss Black.
PRO Series headphones are designed to withstand the demands of everyday use and offer a padded adjustable headband with comfortable ear cushions minimising listener fatigue. The fit provides noise isolation without causing discomfort over prolonged periods.
Certified as Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad, each model within the PRO Series offers a 1.2 metre cable with an in-line remote / microphone control module that is optimised for use with Apple devices. The PRO 300 includes a 1.2 metre cable with in-line remote/mic control while the PRO 400 and PRO 500 come with two detachable cables: one in a 1.2 metre length with an in-line remote/mic ideal for mobile applications, and one in a three metre length for use in the home. All included cables utilise a durable, tangle-resistant flat design that separates the internal cores to minimise signal interference.
The PRO 400 offers a single port on the left ear cup while the PRO 500 offers dual input/output ports - one on each ear cup for convenient connectivity to source devices.
All models have durable compact folding designs for easy storage and include an attractive carrying case for protected transport. A gold-plated 6.35mm adaptor is also included with all headphones to allow use with home entertainment systems.
